Nowadays there are couples of apps or platform that attracts people’s attention. Like Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, some editing apps, and most of it is online dating apps such as Tinder, Tantan, and other online dating apps. Most of the people that use these online dating apps are the one that in the range of an age of 20s – 30s. Why does people like to or even love to use this apps? Because these apps can helping us to meet with someone new around the world and most of the people that using online dating apps are single. Based on the new study by YouGov, they found that 49 percent of people using these apps are for them to find an exclusive romantic partner, 29 percent of them are on there just to test and see what the apps looks like, and less than a quarter of people are on there for casual sex. Aside of the reason why, there is also the positive and negative side of these apps.

The huge availability of alternatives are also a huge plus for start, even though cheating is still not condone for people in it of itself, the idea that one’s partner need to fill for the opposites needs is essential of maintaining a functioning relationship.

I just wondering that what if the person we attract to use fake indentities, or maybe a fake picture and fake biodata, it can be considered as a root of every lies, because it means that he/she delude the person at the start. Even worse, how about they fake their relationship status? The example is like they put up their stastus as a single but in a real life their got married, it is a such a obnoxious way isnt it? Afterall, online dating concept never promise you to get that perfect partner, the way they running they relationship is kinda rough, each partner always have opportunity to cheating (and it even more if their LDR) because people assume the concept of online dating it is never that serious, they keep presume that online dating as a “game”.

The dangers of online dating should be taken into further account when applying to dating apps such as tinder, badoo, tantan, etc. As stated earlier, the major problem when using dating apps is that the user can use fake pictures or fake biodata, we cannot be quick to trust the information being given to us through the app. Although these dating apps proves to be very convenient for the users as it is less time consuming when compared to finding a significant other in real life and easy to use. The other major problem that comes from online dating is that the users usually does not take the relationship seriously as they see it as a “game”, thus if this behavior does not change then online dating will be ineffective.
